Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MenuViz ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

MenuViz is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to:

• Parse restaurant menu photos into structured dish information
• Generate photorealistic AI previews of menu items
• Provide estimated dietary and allergen information

Free Tier and Credits

• New users receive 5 free menu scans per day (resetting at midnight UTC) and 5 free image credits
• Additional image credits can be purchased through in-app purchases
• Purchased credits do not expire
• Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies
• Credits are tied to your device and cannot be transferred

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

This is important:

• AI-generated dish images are artistic representations, not photographs of actual dishes from the restaurant
• Dietary tags, allergen information, and ingredient lists are AI-estimated and may not be 100% accurate
• Always confirm allergies and dietary requirements with your server
• MenuViz is not a substitute for medical dietary advice
• Menu parsing may contain errors, especially with handwritten menus, decorative fonts, or low-quality photos

Acceptable Use

You agree to use MenuViz only for its intended purpose (visualizing restaurant menus). You may not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the app's source code
• Use the app to generate content for commercial purposes without permission
• Abuse the free tier by creating multiple device identifiers
• Send malicious, non-menu content to our processing servers
• Attempt to overload or disrupt our services

Intellectual Property

• MenuViz and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MenuViz and are protected by copyright and trademark laws
• AI-generated dish images are provided for your personal use within the app
• You may share generated images via the app's built-in sharing feature

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• MenuViz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any dietary reactions, allergic responses, or health issues resulting from reliance on AI-generated dietary information
• We are not liable for any inaccuracies in menu parsing, price extraction, or dish descriptions
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the previous 12 months

Service Availability

We strive to keep MenuViz available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The app requires an internet connection for menu parsing and image generation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or on our website.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
